Required Text:  Molecular Biology of the Cell
                               Alberts et al., 4th Edition
                                Garland Science

Meeting Times:     Tuesday & Thursday -- 4 - 5:20PM, Boyden Rm 421

This graduate level introductory course provides students with the necessary foundation to explore and understand emerging concepts and mechanisms that govern the activities of individual cells and cells within tissue.  This course is taught in a team setting with multiple faculty bringing their expertise and research experience into the classroom setting.   It is expected that students enrolling in this course will already have a strong foundation in undergraduate cell biology, molecular biology, and chemistry  (biochemistry and/or organic chemistry).
